Synopsis of Rebuild/Retrofit performed in 2020:
* Disassembly of all lathe components (with cleaning )
* Grinding of the bed and carriage guideways.
* Survey of all main lathe components (headstock, apron and tailstock).
* Replacement of all used parts for the brand new one ; all bearings , sleeves and nuts made of bronze,
calibrations of screws and nuts, screw drives, gears and clutches, installation of the new Metron on the tailstock ;
* Replacement of lubricating system for the new one;
* Installation of the new electrical equipment in the cabinet , new wiring;
* Assembly of the lathe units after verification:
* Execution of the new geometry as per ISO 1708
* Technical inspection – trials under loading
* New painting , installation of rating plates and preservation
